What is 40 Days For Life?

40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:

1.Prayer and fasting
2.Constant vigil
3.Community outreach
40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion in America.

The 40-day campaign tracks Biblical history, where God used 40-day periods to transform individuals, communities ... and the entire world. From Noah in the flood to Moses on the mountain to the disciples after Christ's resurrection, it is clear that God sees the transformative value of His people accepting and meeting a 40-day challenge.

What are the results of 40 Days For Life?

Last year, We saw great results from the 40 Days For Life prayer vigil outside of Boise Planned Parenthood! We specifically prayed for the passing of the Anti-coercion bill(it passed!), the closing of the Nampa Planned Parenthood satelite clinic(closed one month later!), a cut in their funding(the reason they gave for the Nampa clinic
closing!) And that their true colors would be exposed(the expose on their racism earlier this year was this answered prayer!) Nationwide, at least 5 abortion workers quit, 3 abortion clinics shut down, and over 500 babies are known to have been spared from abortion! Over 85 cities participated in last year?s event, and it was a huge success!

When is 40 Days and who is involved?

40 Days For life will take place this year from September 24 to November 2. It will be held at a local abortion clinic, where we will pray and fast for 40 straight days again. After last year's results,
we know God heard our prayers- we believe that He will once again!

Over 500 cities nationwide have expressed interest in getting involved this year, and Boise will be one of them!
